The value of C0 depends mainly on the radial profile of the gas holdup. Zuber and Findlay (74) calculated C0 = 1 for a flat profile and C0 = 1.5 for a parabolic profile. Experimental values have been reported in the range of 1.03-1.2 for upflow (69-73,76) and 1.0-1.16 for downflow (70,73).
