For N _ 4 and Y2/Y1 _ 0.25, the value of A0 for butane is found to be equal to 0.89 from Eq. (14-55) by using a trial-and-error method. The values of A0 for the other components are then proportional to the ratios of their K values to that of butane. For example, A0 _ 0.89(0.833/12.0) _ 0.062 for ethane. The values of A0 for each of the other components and the exit-gas composition as computed from Eq. (14-55) are shown in the following table:
